Botswana Company Secretary

Privacy Policy

Last updated Aug. 18, 2026

This platform is used by company secretaries in Botswana to manage statutory filings, beneficial ownership disclosures, meetings, financial solvency records, and company documents on behalf of their clients. This policy explains what information we collect through that work, why, and how it is protected.

What we collect

Account details for people who use the platform (name, email, phone number, professional registration information), and the company records entered by secretaries on behalf of their clients: director and shareholder registers, beneficial ownership disclosures, meeting minutes, financial statements, and supporting documents.

Why we collect it

To let a company secretary maintain the statutory registers and filings required under the Companies Act, to support submissions to CIPA, and to secure accounts against unauthorised access (audit logging, session tracking, multi-factor authentication).

Who can see it

Access to a company's records is restricted to the secretaries, directors, and other users explicitly granted access to that company. Role-based permissions determine what each user can view or change. We do not sell or share this data with third parties outside of what is required to file with CIPA or other regulators on the client's instruction.

How it's protected

Passwords are hashed, sensitive documents and signing keys are encrypted at rest, logins can be protected with a second authentication factor, and account activity (logins, logouts, and access attempts) is recorded in an audit trail.

Questions

If you have a question about how your information is handled, contact the company secretary who administers your account, or reach us through Support.
